Bhagvaan GopinathJi & Hari Parbhat At Kashmir (India)

From time immemorial Kashmir has remained the seat of mystics, sadhus and saints, pirs and faqirs who with their sweet sermons have given the message of love and brotherhood to the people. It is due to this fact that Kashmir culture and History have different dimensions and shapes in different times. But the wonder of wonders is that all these mystics and saints have roamed around the hillock found in the heart of srinagar city which is also called Hari Parvat and about which Hindu Mythology goes that this is the cration of Sharika or Parvati who threw a pebble on Jalodhabava, the water-demon who lived here when the valley of Kashmir was nothing but a lake. Anyhow, this hillock has a great importance to Hindus of Kashmir who has a belief that this is the abode of Sharika.


 
Here, so much of detail is not required but the fact is that for saints this is a place wherefrom the Goddess give Darshan to those who with their devotion pray to her. We have certain examples of such saints and sadhus who according to their devotees have seen a glimpse of the Goddess. Pir Pandit who was called Reshi pir by the devotees is said to be such a saint which has seen goddess as parvati seated on a lion when he was as usual, under parikrama on his small wooden slabs one day early in the morning. Such other sadhus and saints claim that they had vision of almighty in Kashmir and that around the Hari Parvat hillock. That is why this has become pilgrimage center to the devotees who come to Kashmir from far flung areas of India & world. So long as the Kashmir exists in the world map, the importance of Hari Parvat as a center to have union with God or almighty cannot be challenged.

For Bhagavaan Gopinathji, the saint of 20th century, darshan of this goddess was possible only for him in the vicinity of hariparvat only. Therefore, this hillock was of great importance for him. The existence of the valley of Kashmir is said to as per good wishes of Mata Sharika only and she has taken the seat on demon turned hillock. Her role in the creation of this holy land (Kashmir) is supreme. That is why the people bow before her. She is revered & remembered here and to get glimpse of her in any form, one has to remain in difficult task of penance or tapsaya. Bhagavanji also passed through hard but crucial stages of this penance with his earnest zeal and at last succeeded in achieving the goal. He had her darshan and felt that the butterfly has sucked the juice of a flower. But it is said that bhagavaanji did not disclose it to anybody for years. This secret and constant association with devi sharika establish that he was a staunch follower of Devi. This remained a secret for some time but the disclosure of the secret turned truth when Bhagavaanji went to Hari Parvat with one of his devotees but the devotee put a condition that he will accompany only if Bhagavvan ji arrange the darshan of mata sharika, bhagavaan ji gladly accepted. After reaching devi-angan, they remained in meditation in one of the huts there. Within this period, a beautiful small girl entered the hut and sat in the lap of Bhagavaanji. She was given sweets, which she took with great love and affection. Lastly, she stood up and left. Bhagavvan ji wanted to catch hold of her but walking through small distance, she suddenly becomes invisible. When the devotee asked bhagavaanji who was this young girl? In reply he told him did he not understand who this girl was? She was sharika and had come herself here. .

Trip to Hari Parbat, Srinagar, Kashmir

Two points come before us from this statement. The first one is that the commitment made by bhagavvan ji to his devotees was not unfulfilled. However, this becomes possible only when both of these were keen with the result that they were able to have the darshan of “Tatva” or supreme. Secondly, having the knowledge of recognizing the “Tatva”he can get him at anytime and at any place and he is considered by common man as next to god. There are may instances were the bhagvaanji had shown the darshans of mata sharika to his devotees in the vicinity of hari parvat area. From these events it is clear that hariparvat is the shakti peetha of Kashmir . The shella or rock is the epic center of energy which is giving energy to whole of Kashmir that is the reason why Kashmir was so prosperous but with the grown urbanization lots of houses have come in the vicinity of the shella (Rock) thus stopping the sun rays from directly falling on shella & that is the reason why the positive energy has stopped and negative energy has evolved resulting in present crisis in Kashmir. The govermment authoriries has been asked several times to stop the construction of houses around the area but officials did not pay any heed to it and ultimately giving rise to present situation.
